Meet Pete - founder and CEO of GenWell, a Canadian non-profit organization dedicated to fostering Canada’s Human Connection Movement since 2016. With a commitment to social connection and health, Pete leads GenWell’s mission to educate, empower, and inspire Canadians to recognize the direct link between social connection and improved well-being.
Under Pete’s leadership, GenWell has activated innovative programming across workplaces, educational institutions, community organizations, and senior groups. GenWell also runs seven campaigns annually, encouraging Canadians to embrace meaningful connections with family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, and even strangers, fostering a culture of inclusion and community.
Prior to founding GenWell, Pete served as the Country Director of the Movember Canada Foundation, leading the team to raise $142 million for men’s health initiatives. With 20 years of experience in the beverage and hospitality industry, Pete draws on his diverse experiences to build a more connected Canada where everyone thrives.
